Club Nights

WRWell Rounded Records is the work of local legend, and DJ/producer Donga, a vinyl purist who spends his days behind the counter at a record store and his nights playing gigs across Brighton. When he’s not chatting at length about tunes or selecting cuts for a set, he’s busy signing and releasing artists for an imprint that is becoming ever more crucial with each release.

Well Rounded’s rise began with Deadboy’s ‘U Cheated’ EP in the winter of 2009, which came as a precursor to the current two-step revival – and is now hailed as a modern club classic, and continued with carefully selected tracks from south Wales bass cartel CRST, young house upstart Hackman, Skinnz, the alter ego of Bristol’s Baobinga, future bass experimentalist Graphics, and current cream of the UK crop Julio Bashmore. The label has amassed a back catalogue that spans and splices genres like house, fidget, UK garage, juke, electronica, bassline and techno and is host to some absolute gems. // Next Event: Thursday 30th Oct // 11-4 // £free //

With a loyal fan base behind them, Donuts have been bringing some of the most distinguished Electronic/Hip-Hop artists that the world has to offer to our pebbly shorelines.

SUB BOP was inspired by an experimental but wholly successful night at The Green Door Store. A night where we imagined we had crashed the wedding of Kurt and Courtney. We played a load of tunes from agit pop to shoegaze, thru riot grrrl and of course grunge. We loved it, and you did too so we put our thinking caps on and got a night together. It worked… so we are doing it again. Come stare at the floor with us.

We will be playing some of these bands and many more as and when we remember to add them…

Soul Cass

The Soul Casserole DJs Dustee Du and Alkie Tuner have a bit of a reputation for making DJing look like it’s one big lark, it’s difficult to tell who is enjoying the night more, the crowd or the DJs. One thing’s for sure all three DJs are passionate about the music they play. A spicy melange of Stax, Trojan, Motown, Blue Note, Zodiac, Chess and Loma Records. They also have a late night tendency to throw a blend of randomness into the pot; from Reggae to Ragga and Blues to Hip hop. Expect an unpretentious night of full speed funky beats!” Playlist: // Next Event: TBC  // 11-4 // £free //
